Archiboo announces new media partnership with Dezeen

11 May, 2017

Dezeen, the world’s most popular design magazine, is to be the media partner for the Archiboo Web Awards 2017, the only awards to celebrate companies using the online space to communicate great architecture.

In its first year the awards attracted over 300 entries across six categories, from small boutique practices to international firms.

Last year’s Best Overall Experience Award was won by The Modern House.

For 2017, there are four new categories, to represent growing trends. The new categories include Best Use of Digital Imagery, Best Use of Video, Best Offline Experience and Best Use of Innovation.

Dezeen founder and editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs said:

“Archiboo’s awards are a great idea as they encourage architects to think about their website as the public face of their practice and a vital immunisation tool, and reward the best examples.”

Amanda Baillieu, founder of Archiboo said:

“It’s great to have Dezeen as our media partner which leads the way in its coverage of technology driven products for the architecture and design community.

Like everything else, the web is subject to fashion and we’re looking forward to seeing this year’s entries particularly those companies embracing multimedia elements such as video”.

Judges are experts and influencers within different fields, including media, property and tech. The awards ceremony will coincide with the London Design Festival in September.

The awards will be launched in late May.
