Architect Pitch – winner announced

28 April, 2017

Last night saw seven architects pitch for three minutes each for the chance to work with London property developer, HUB.

HUB said it was looking for “someone who can be an extension of our team and reflect our HUB-ness back to us”

In the end, after much deliberation from the panel, it was Draisci Studio that came out on top.

Explaining its decision, HUB’s managing director, Steve Sanham said Francesco Draisci’s pitch showed an “understanding of people’s emotional connection to the spaces they occupy.”

“His architecture is about creating spaces for people to inhabit – responsive places that are full of emotion, joy and colour.”

Draisci Studio  will work with HUB to develop an approach to HUB interiors and communal space within its developments.

Draisci Studio was established 11 years ago and spans architecture, interiors, exhibitions and installations.

The other architects pitching were Roz Barr of Roz Barr Architects, Tarek Merlin of Feix & Merlin, Fergus Feilden of Feilden Fowles, Richard Holland of Holland Harvey Architects, Sam Jacob of Sam Jacob Studio and Paul Ruff of Ruff Architects.

Over 100 people attended the pitch which was held at the new Bartlett School of Architecture.
