Seven architects chosen to pitch to HUB

30 March, 2017

Seven architects have been chosen for the next Architect Pitch with the winner given the chance to work with housing developer HUB.

The shortlist comprises: Feix & Merlin, Roz Barr Architects, Feilden Fowles, Ruff Architects, Holland Harvey Architects, Sam Jacob Studio and Draisci Studio.

The Pitch, which will take place on April 27th at the newly refurbished Bartlett, attracted 38 entries from a range of practices.

On the panel are HUB’s Managing Director Steve Sanham, CEO Robert Sloss, Jo Negrini, Chief Executive of Croydon Council, Editor of the Observer Magazine, Ruaridh Nicoll, and property investor Simon Ringer.

HUB is currently delivering 1700 homes using a range of practices including Maccreanor Lavington, Studio Egret West and Shedkm. It describes itself as a design-led developer providing “aspirational yet attainable homes for hard working Londoners”.

Steve Sanham said: “We had a fantastic response from more than 35 practices for the Architect Pitch and it was a difficult process choosing just seven for the shortlist. We are excited to see the presentations on the 27th and look forward to working with the winner.”

The format will be the same as previous pitches. The architect will have 3 minutes to present and the panel will give feedback to each person individually.

Tickets to attend the pitch can be bought here.
