Sculpture in the City – exclusive tour

Sculpture in the City is an award winning urban sculpture park set amongst some of London’s architectural landmarks, such as the Gherkin and the Lloyd’s building. This open air exhibition, now in it’s fifth year, has become a popular attraction with visitors and workers alike in the EC3 insurance area.

The 2015 exhibition includes works from internationally renowned artists: Ekkehard Altenburger (Germany); Bruce Beasley (USA); Adam Chodzko (UK); Laura Ford (UK); Damien Hirst (UK); Shan Hur (Korea); Folkert de Jong (Netherlands); Sigalit Landau (Israel); Kris Martin (Belgium); Keita Miyazaki (Japan); Tomoaki Suzuki (Japan); Xavier Veilhan (France) with a work by Ai Weiwei being installed in September in partnership with the Royal Academy show.

The tour will be given by curator Stella Ioannou and will take approximately an 1 hour 15 minutes.


Stella is currently Co-director of Sculpture in the City (2010-present), the City of London’s most ambitious arts initiative, which is delivered in partnership with local businesses and the wider arts community. Her long-standing relationship with the City’s arts community also informed Celebrate the City (2012), the Square Miles’ celebratory programme for the 2012 London Olympics where she was Project Director. Stella is a member of the City Arts Initiative Advisory Board and is a liveryman member of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects. She sits on various advisory boards and judging panels.
