Smithson Plaza to host Archiboo Web Awards

Alison and Peter Smithson’s last remaining building in London, previously known as ‘The Economist Plaza, was designed and built between 1960 and 1964, and is listed Grade 11*.
Comprising the 15-storey Economist Tower, the five-storey Bank Building, the eight-storey Residential Building and a raised public piazza, the Smithson Plaza is widely recognised as a triumph of post-war Brutalist architecture.
Following its acquisition in 2016 by international real estate developer Tishman Speyer, London-based architects DSDHA was appointed to restore the complex to provide new flexible workspaces and a new art gallery.
