The Architect Pitch @100% Design
Friday 19th September, 2014 | 12.30am-1.30pm
Whether you’re presenting in front of an audience or a small panel, it’s essential to know how to give a synopsis of your practice in a condensed version. In business this is often known as the “elevator pitch” because it has to take no longer than the time between floors in an elevator, around 30 seconds .But having a concise description of what you do on the tip of your tongue at a moment’s notice isn’t easy .
This is why we’ve come up with the idea of The Architect Pitch.
Seven architects have been chosen to pitch their practice to a panel of experts at this year’s 100% Design. Pitches will last no longer than 3 minutes.
The panel includes David Barrie, social entrepreneur and TV producer, Nick Johnson, former Development Director of Urban Splash, Reza Merchant, CEO and founder of The Collective, a property and management company, and Inma Martinez, CEO of innovative London tech startup Swoon Media. They will be joined by a leading developer and the panel will be chaired by Amanda Baillieu, former editor of Building Design and founder of archiboo.
