Archiboo kicks-off with ten takeaways from this year’s MIPIM by one of property’s most seasoned commentators, Giles Barrie. MIPIM has become an annual fix for an increasing number of architects, both for meeting clients and as a way of learning about the latest opportunities across Europe and beyond
The talk was held in the Operating Theatre Museum which is located in the roof-space of a former church.
Giles Barrie is a managing director at US-owned City PR firm FTI Consulting. His clients include Westfield, Hammerson, British Land, SEGRO, Blackstone and CBRE. He was editor of Property Week for 10 years until 2013, and also worked as a news journalist on BD and Building magazine. Giles is from a whole family of journalists, with his father having worked for the Sunday Times, his mother for Good Housekeeping and his brothers for The Guardian and Panorama.
